Abstract
This study focuses on the design and development of a web-based appointment system integrated with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) document scanning and biometric verification for pediatric clinics in Angeles City. The proposed system aims to address common challenges in pediatric clinic appointment management, including lengthy registration processes, manual encoding of patient information, and difficulties in verifying patient identities. Through a centralized web-based platform, parents or guardians can register patients, schedule appointments, submit required documents, and receive appointment information online. The integration of OCR technology enables the system to extract relevant information from uploaded documents, reducing repetitive data entry and minimizing encoding errors. Biometric verification is incorporated to provide an additional layer of identity verification and help ensure that patient records are associated with the correct individual.
