The increasing use of digital platforms has made college students more dependent on the internet for education, communication, social media, online transactions, and other daily activities. However, increased online activity also exposes students to cybersecurity risks such as phishing, scams, weak passwords, privacy violations, and unauthorized access to personal information. This study aims to assess the cybersecurity awareness of college students in protecting their personal information online. It will focus on password security, phishing and scam awareness, privacy protection, social engineering awareness, and safe browsing and online practices. The study will use a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design and a structured questionnaire to gather data from selected college students. The study will also examine the relationship between cybersecurity awareness and students' protective online behaviors. Based on the findings, the researchers will identify areas that need improvement and propose an awareness-based prototype called InfoShield. The proposed prototype will provide cybersecurity information, quizzes, privacy-checking activities, and recommendations to help students practice safer online behavior.
